QuoteOnly on Mac OS X and other Unixes will the Cilk API parallelize tasks.

Myabe, there is no verb ?

Quote
All built-in primitives in newLISP can be easily renamed:

(constant 'plus +)

Now, plus is functionally equivalent to + and runs at the same speed.

As with many scripting languages, this allows for double precision floating point arithmetic to be used throughout newLISP.

Maybe, the last sentence is not necessary or there is after next example ?

If these are solved, I will complete the Japanese translation of "Users Manual and Reference v.10.2.8" except "GNU Free Documentation License" and "GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE".

"Only on Mac OS X and other Unixes will the Cilk API parallelize tasks."

- the verb is 'parallelize', I think! :)

Congratulations, johnu, on such a monumental accomplishment! This translation is very important for newLISP's wider adoption. Thank you, sincerely.

About the verb in the first example, cormullion's right. Although, technically, the full verb is "will parallelize."

It the second example, the second sentence explains the reason why someone would want to customize plus to be +. Perhaps it would work better this way:

QuoteAll built-in primitives in newLISP can be easily renamed. For example, to make newLISP work like many scripting languages that use + for double precision floating point arithmetic, use:

  (constant 'plus +)

Now, plus is functionally equivalent to + and runs at the same speed.

Finally, maybe there is already a Japanese translation of the two GNU documents you mention?

Again, congratulations!

Thank for the advice, cormullion.

I would have a misunderstanding that there is a verb after 'will'.

Thank for the update, Lutz.

I updated the Japanese translation of rev 18.

Adding the file of "newlisp-manual-jp.html" with the Japanese translation of contents.

Thank for many comment, m i c h a e l.

I hear that the one approved for the effect as GFDL is only a license in an English original.

Then,  I don't translate the two GNU documents.

And there is no Japanese public translation.

But, there is a praivete translation, like http://ossipedia.ipa.go.jp/legalinfo/gpl-3.0J.html">here.
