I like the movies.. but I think i would like them even more if there

was a speech attached to it..gives it a little more documentary touch..

Also..im not a quicktime/*.mov fan..

is it possible to publish those as MP3 format? advatanges on the above are ->

(1) people can listen to them as PodCast (if its long enough)

(2) system wide useable...

(3) Please continue the movie range, gives a nice chapter lecture ;-)

regards,

Norman.

I've thought about this, as well as adding music or even sound effects. Since the size of the movies is already larger than I would like, adding sound effects or narration would only make them bigger. My experience has been that adding music distracts from following what is being shown, but I realize everyone is different.

I'm using Keynote to make the videos, and it looks like QT export is all I'm able to do :-(

Thank you Cormullion and Norman for mentioning that you liked the videos :-)

Keynote exports to PowerPoint (what's that?) and Flash, too. But I'm happy with Quicktime. (Me Mac-user, me like Quicktime.)

I'm with you with regard to music, although I suspect a spoken commentary could enhance understanding. My favourite mac program Journler has just started doing them - http://www.journler.com/screencasts/TJS%20-%20Customizing%20the%20Mediabar.mov">//http://www.journler.com/screencasts/TJS%20-%20Customizing%20the%20Mediabar.mov and it works well for me.

But don't let these cavils stand in the way of my delight and admiration for these movies. The ability to add movement and colour to explanatory material makes us old-style writers of black-and-white prose envious!

I didn't notice Flash before. That might be interesting to see how it exports. Thanks for the heads-up! Although isn't Flash just as disliked as QT? ;-)

If there is consensus about narration being desirable for the movies, then I nominate Lutz to be the Narrator!

This is what initially made me excited about computers (Atari 400): the ability for anyone to do animation.
