Post by: kosh on October 11, 2013, 04:01:49 AM
Hi.

http://repo.or.cz/w/newlisp/alt-newlisp.git

I forked newlisp mirror repository in repo.or.cz.

These original sources are available here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/newlisp/files/

All commit message are based on doc/CHANGES.

You can view the difference between commits. and clone it.

Did you do this with a specific purpose or just for replication?

He did it because he's kickass!  :)

Kosh's repo has all the source diffs built into the git repo (whereas the SF repo didn't have that).  He must have written a script to unarch the source tarballs (the .tgzs) into a git-inited directory and then run a git commit for every version.  It makes browsing the diffs must easier.  Bravo, Kosh!

Ah! Beautiful! I didn't knew that about SF. Thanks Kosh. Altough, why not github.com? And... Doesn't have Lutz a git repo somewhere? How does his development? CVS?! :P

Both. This repo is a replication, because it contains a set of newlisp sources.

I did manually commit from SF sources. I have no idea about how to automate it :-(

This git repository made for my personal development.

For example, it will help to create a patch.

kosh, thank you for continuing to maintain and update your repository.  Lutz, what would it need to become the official repository?  Having an official newlisp git repository is handy.
