Title: newLISP and Vista ?
Post by: HPW on April 29, 2007, 12:12:57 AM
Hello,

Yesterday I had the pleasure to attend to german delphi community event 'Delphi Days 2007' in the HNF ( www.hnf.de/ ) where the delphi-community gets latest info from codegear/borland.

We could get a look at latest 'Delphi 2007 for WIN32' and 'Delphi for PHP' which was very interesting.

Beside the delphi-related stuff, the were a lot info about programming for Vista.

A lot of that is also related to newLISP on WIN.

So will the newLISP-installer get Vista-compatible?

Must newLISP installed with admin-rights into 'Program files'?

('Programme' under a german Vista-OS has gone)

Or will it gets virtual moved to user-path by the windows compatibility mode for XP?

Since newLISP-TK writes back into his install dir, this can get a problem.

There will be a lot other questions I think.

I have no access to a vista-system yet to test this.

But I think we will need to manage this, because the things has changed significantly in the windows world!
